Can I try Parent Events before I purchase a subscription?
Absolutely. Your first event on Parent Events is completely free, with no credit card required. You and your staff can set up a real event, open it to parents and attendees, and see exactly how the whole process works before you decide to pay for anything.
When you are ready to run more events, you can subscribe at any time for unlimited events across every event type, or simply pay for a single event whenever you need one. Your first event keeps running either way.
When am I charged for a pay-as-you-go event?
You are only charged when you publish an event, which is the moment you take it live and open it to parents and attendees. Up until that point you can create drafts, set up your dates and forms, change your mind, and delete and start again as many times as you like, all at no cost. Nothing is charged while an event is still a draft.
Each event you publish counts as one paid event, no matter how many dates it spans or how many families take part, and you can keep editing and managing it while it runs at no extra cost. Because your first event is always free, the per-event charge only applies from your second published event onward.
How do parents and caregivers access our upcoming events?
Parents and caregivers can access your events by using your own event website for your school. Your event website can be customized with your schools branding, and is used for accessing public and private events.
For those without access to the internet, your staff can manage bookings on behalf of parents and caregivers.
How do our staff manage our upcoming events?
Staff are assigned their own login when first added to your Parent Events account that can be used to manage and view upcoming events.
Staff can have different levels of access based on their role, such as only being able to view their own information, or being able to manage other staff in your school or organization.
How can I pay for my subscription?
We accept credit card payments using Visa, Mastercard, or American Express through our online portal to ensure uninterrupted service for your school or organization.
Invoices can also be requested, however it may take several days to process your renewal depending on bank transfer times. We are not able to accept checks or money orders at this time.
What currency are prices quoted in?
Prices are quoted in NZD for New Zealand customers, AUD for Australian customers, and USD for the rest of the world.
What happens to my events when my subscription ends?
Nothing changes for the events you have already published. They keep running exactly as before, including the public event website, bookings, and all event emails, so families with bookings already in their calendar are never disrupted.
The only thing that pauses is publishing new events, which needs an active subscription or an available event credit. Your account administrators and finance managers can subscribe again at any time, and the ability to publish returns straight away.
